Parents and Students,
I hope everyone had a great spring break! I certainly did and look forward to a strong finish to our school year.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to our winter guard invitational coordinator, Paul Avalos, and to our parent and student volunteers for their assistance in running the EHS Winter Guard Invitational on March 8. It was a successful event! Our guard did a terrific job. All of the soloists and ensembles did a fantastic job as well.
Speaking of the Winter Guard, please come support them at 7:00 pm in the main gym as they will be performing a send off performance before their trip to Las Vegas on Friday. We wish them the best of luck as they go compete with many great groups from the region. We know you will do well!
Don't forget to spread the word and tell friends and family about our band mattress fundraiser next Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in the EHS cafeteria. There will be many top name mattresses available at great discounted prices. We hope this will turn out to be as successful of an event as last year's sale.
There will be a sign up sheet for students to help on Sunday with the fundraiser. We will have several shifts available and lettering points will be offered to those who can make it.
Solo and Ensemble times will be posted tomorrow outside the band room. More announcements will be given to those students later this week.
There will be room sign ups tomorrow in the band room for our spring trip to Dallas. Please take care of this by Wednesday so we can finalize that part of the trip. A HUGE thank you to Mr. Bowdoin for all of the work he has done on organizing the trip. He has put many hours into making sure all details are covered. Additional thanks to our treasurer, Mr. Griswold, as well for all he has done with taking care of the financial aspects of the trip and to all of the other boosters who are working on making this trip successful.
